The hubby is having a rough week. To remedy this, rather than scour my ever-growing library of cookbooks to try and find the very best dish to cure the Wednesday blues, I figure this is as good a time as any to get out of the house and indulge in another spontaneous date night.
The air is cool and mild, pillowy clouds pass over a clear evening sky, and the neighborhood is a buzz with happy hour drifters and lingering diners. A night like this calls for someone else do all the work, to worry about ingredients and measurements. Tonight, I want us to enjoy each other’s company without distraction and without interruption. (Except to place our order of course).
After a brief, yet pleasant, stroll we round a corner and enter Via Tribunali. A Neapolitan pizzeria located smack dab in the hustle and bustle of nearby Capitol Hill. We’ve been here before and have our requests ready before we even step inside. Half a carafe of the house red and pizze with salame. The crust is incredibly thin and chewy, the pomodoro is sweet, and the grana padano salty.
Naples in Seattle is the perfect spot for an occasion such as this, because, as everyone knows, pizza and wine fix just about everything. Salute!
